Yummy Tasting Muffins and Youtube Videos

So I decided to do something I’ve never done before. Make a video of myself baking and put it up on YouTube. I no this might not sound so big for some people, but for me, I felt like it was a big step.

When I write these blog post I usually write about something I have made and my experience of it. It’s never perfect and I make mistakes but thats what normal people do. People, apart from my close friends and family don’t no much about me and I am usual a quiet, keep to myself type of person. So even starting a blog was a big step for me and now I am looking into making some videos you can follow and bake along side me.

Like I said it’s not going to be perfect, I am one person filming these videos with one camera, I’m no professional. But like I’ve been told, you don’t no if you don’t try and thats what I’m going to do. TRY!

Making a video and cooking at the same time takes a long time. It looks so easy when you look at other videos and you think “I can do that, it doesn’t look to hard”. But it did require a lot of work. First I had to actually set up the camera and this consisted of a tripod, selfie stick and a camera. Yea! to actually get a over head shot I had to attach the selfie stick to the tripod and the camera to the selfie stick (my boyfriends genius idea!) It worked great. Once that was set up I had to work on the lightning. This is difficult because for a good quality video you need good light so I had to make do with natural light and a lamp I had.(Wasn’t to bad really).

The next step required me to get all the ingredients and equipment I needed to make these muffins. In a way it is much easier to bake when you have everything weighed out and ready, it makes things run smooth. But the down side ment I had lots of cleaning to do. (thats the outcome of baking I guess)

So making these muffins was pretty easy actually. Like most cakes you cream together the butter and sugar and then add in the eggs and milk. Once this is mixed you combined it with the dry ingredients. Fold in the raspberries and chocolate chips and then divide the mixture into the muffin cases and bake. Thats it pretty much. I did use slightly different ingredients I used more raspberries so I could have more to decorate with. I did this for the chocolate chips, honestly you cant have enough raspberries and chocolate if i’m being truthful. I no this is brief and basically to the point, but the most part was filming it all.

As you may no that this blog is more about the video I created while making these muffins and I thought that this would be something you might be interesting in. I wanted to show you how you can take one passion and make it into another. I never thought I would be writing a blog for others to see and now I’m making a video! Like this is crazy!!

I don’t no for sure if making videos is something I may keep doing or that It will be a frequent thing, I am just going to see how it goes, play around with it and go from there.

Below is the recipe for the muffins for you to try out. The mixture makes about 12 big muffins and they taste so good. You would be crazy if you didn’t try this recipe for yourself.

This isn’t like my usual blogs and you might not like it or you might want more blogs like this, I don’t no!. Im going to mix it up, it’s always good to try new things and I hope that you will be with me on my journey.

So there you have it, a little insight of my video creating adventure.

I would love for you to check it out and tell me want you think.

If you decide to give the recipe a go or even want to share some of your own recipes I would love to see them. My twitter is https://twitter.com/AmyBakes94 and my Instagram is https://www.instagram.com/amybakes94/
